YOU DESERVE MORE BEAUTIFUL MOMENTS. YOU DESERVE ONE MORE PHOTO.
Hello, welcome to the beginning of your dream photos.
Hey, I’m Joel — a documentary-first photographer based in Corvallis, Oregon.
My approach is simple: I don’t stage your story. I step into it. I observe first, guide only when it helps, and stay intentional and present the entire time so what we create still feels like you, not a performance of you.
I’m drawn to movement, connection, and the raw moments that happen when you forget the camera is there. I love working with people who are down to be in it fully, not just pose for it.
Visually, I lean toward soft, natural light, subtle film-inspired tones, and environments that feel open and alive. But more than anything, I care about feeling over perfection.
Because this isn’t just about pretty images — it’s about documenting something real as it unfolds. The way you look at each other when you’re not thinking about it. The way your body relaxes when you feel safe and seen. The little moments that would otherwise disappear.
When we work together, the energy stays calm, intentional, and unforced. I’ll guide when it’s needed, step back when it’s not, and keep things moving in a way that lets real moments happen naturally.
So show up as you are. Move, play, explore, exist.
I’ll take care of the rest.
A LITTLE EXTRA ABOUT ME!
FOOD IS MY BIGGEST LOVE LANGUAGE
Yeah..it's not actually one of the five love languages but it should be! Food is so universal and it brings people together. I love eating and trying out new food, specially when I'm accompanied with friends and family.
Favorite Fruit: Watermelon (I can never get enough of it during the summer lol)
Favorite Snack: Trader Joe's Kettle Chips, Korean corn dogs, and Samyang ramen
Favorite Food: Chick-Fil-A, Mole, Sushi and Burritos.
I LIVE FOR EXPLORING AND ADVENTURING
I'll find any excuse to leave my house as long as it means that I'll make fun memories and have a good time. I've realized that some of my favorite memories are the spontaneous ones with little to no planning. I used to like hiking before my knee injury in 2021 and haven't been since but, hopefully I'll start hiking soon and maybe even get some pics:)
Favorite Adventure: Hopping on the LA metro system with no prior knowledge of how to use it and basically was all over the city.
Favorite Hike: Abiqua Falls and God's Thumb
